Castlewood Fences
There has been some confusion over the
current fence policy from the Design Guidelines, Section 4.2.(1), third
paragraph, page 8:
"Fencing shall
be finished on one side minimum. Fencing which is finished on one
side only must be constructed with the finished side facing out."

in compliance
not in compliance
This means that the posts and runners
have to be on the inside of the fence. You should not be able to
see posts from any street or common area. The majority of fences
were built before the CCR's and Design Guidelines were in place.
However, as old fences are being replaced, they must be in compliance
with no posts or runners showing. This makes the neighborhood more
attractive, neat and finished looking.
Fences will also be required to be
stained and kept up as necessary. The stain color will need to be
approved by the Modifications Committee.
The Design Guidelines are in the
process of being modified with more clear and concise language.
You will be notified of the changes.

your fence, please contact the management office.
